Electroplating lines
Poliplast designs, manufactures, installs and maintains advanced electroplating lines.
Our equipment is used in the process flow of production, maintenance and overhaul of parts and components at instrumentation facilities, in the shipbuilding, aerospace and defense industries, in the area of application of protective coatings on metal.
The use of Poliplast's electroplating lines enables to obtain the quality of products meeting the highest international requirements.

Surface preparation lines
High-quality electroplating requires careful pretreatment of the surface using special equipment:- Degreasing line (chemical, electrolytic, ultrasonic). It is used for cleaning from oils, lubricants, grinding and polishing pastes. Electrolytic and chemical degreasing may complement each other. The efficiency of the effect is increased by ultrasonic treatment of the product immersed in a chemical solution.
- Metal etching line. It is designed to remove oxides, scale, burrs, sludge from the surface of thin-walled parts made of steel, non-ferrous and light metals or their alloys.
- titanium hydride treatment,
- telectrochemical and chemical polishing,
- tpreparation of aluminum alloys before applying metal coatings,
- and other operations for preparation of base metals.
Electrochemical processing lines
For the purpose of high-tech electrochemical surface treatment, the following types of equipment are used:
Zink-plating linesIt is used for acid and alkaline galvanizing, including subsequent processing (chromating or chromeless passivation). In enables to achieve semi-shiny or shiny surfaces with high chemical resistance and mechanical characteristics (corrosion resistance, good adhesion and plasticity). |
Combined plating linesPlating with alloys (zinc-nickel, zinc-iron, etc.) enables to solve several tasks simultaneously. For example, the zinc-nickel alloy is more heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant than conventional zinc and is used as an alternative to expensive cadmium. |
Copper plating linesA copper layer of various types and thicknesses is applied. Thin films perform the function of a sublayer in metallization processes, noticeably improving the adhesion of materials. Thick films perform the function of printed-circuit patterns or flexible cables. Also, the plating with a thick layer of copper provides for a spark protection, sealing of threaded connections, improvement of solderability, has a decorative application. |
Chrome plating linesIt enables to apply both hard, wear-resistant chrome coatings with increased corrosion resistance, and decorative finishes, which provide for a flawless appearance and shine, onto the surface of various grades of steel or non-ferrous metals. |
Nickel plating linesSemi-shiny and shiny nickel plating provides for high corrosion resistance, chemical resistance in solutions of alkalis and dilute organic acids. Nickel plating also performs decorative purposes. |
Tin plating linesTin plating is widely used in the food industry because tin compounds are harmless and resistant to wear. In the radio industry, it is used to cover parts to be soldered. |
Precious metals plating linesThey are designed for electroplating silver plating, gold plating, platinum plating, palladium plating. Precious metals coatings are used in jewelry and electrical industry, lighting and optical products. |
Aluminum anodizing linesIt performs the process of electrolytic oxidation (anodizing) of aluminum and its alloys to form durable, wear-resistant oxide films on the surface. It is used to create an electrical insulating layer, increase the hardness, impart decorative and anti-glare properties. Decorative anodising enables to paint the surface in different colors (red, blue, yellow, etc.) without changing the size of the part. |
Electrolytic polishing linesThey are used to give smoothness and shine to rough metal parts, for which other polishing methods are not available. The treatment does not cause mechanical deformation of the outer layer and creates a surface with higher corrosion resistance. |
Chemical surface treatment lines
The treatment with chemical reagents is made using the following process units:-
Chemical metallization equipment.
They are used to create immersion and conversion metal coatings of various thicknesses on complex profile parts. Chemical nickel plating, copper plating, silvering, etc. are made with less labor intensity than electrochemical processing, which ensures a lower prime cost. -
Metal painting lines.
They are used to give a uniform decorative and protective coating to metal products (black finish of steel, etc.). Effective on all types of surfaces, including threads and blind holes. -
Equipment for metal passivation.
The passivation procedure protects the metal from corrosion by forming a surface oxide layer. For a long-term protective effect, additional impregnation with special emulsions or oils is required. Generally, before passivation, etching is performed to remove uneven scale, especially in the area of welds. -
Phosphate treatment equipment.
Chemical phosphating of steel (or zinc) is the process of obtaining a film, consisting of insoluble salts of phosphoric acid, on parts. The coating is protective; it exceeds oxidation in this parameter, and is supplemented with oiling to increase corrosion resistance.
We manufacture electroplating equipment with various degrees of automation and mechanization. Our customers can buy electroplating lines depending on the planned production outputs.
Manual electroplating linesare convenient in small production areas, workshops and laboratories with a small-scale plating program. For the convenience and safety of service personnel, manual maintenance tanks may be equipped additionally with cubicle-type shelters, lighting, covers with a lock on the rectifier, etc. It is possible to install some automation elements: heating (cooling) control systems, dosing and automatic water or solution refilling systems. |
Mechanized electroplating linesare used for small-scale production with a large volume of output and medium-scale production. They are equipped with transporters or telphers, which make it possible to reduce the amount of manual labor in the process of moving bulky or heavy parts from one tank to another. Remote controls are used to control the conveyors. It is possible to install local automation systems that can function autonomously and do not require connection to a single control system. |
Automated electroplating linesare designed for serial, large-scale and mass production. Owing to the integration of industrial robots into electroplating equipment, the share of manual labor is minimized. The line can work around the clock in a harmful environment, without the presence of maintenance personnel; its operation is performed on the basis of a program compiled according to the coating technology. Manufacturing facilities, which use industrial robots, save our customers' money by operating on a non-stop basis with the highest precision and quality. |
